THE SKIPPER

The skippers want you to have the best vacation possible, so that’s why we want you to have as much information as possible before you cast off.

Skippers usually need to be at their 90% as much as possible (the other 10% is for emergencies).
To be at their 90%, they need to rest and eat like any worker. With a varied mix of hydrates, proteins, sugars and vegetables.

In addition to that they need to maintain an appropriate timetable to avoid failures or lack of concentration. Therefore, no more than three or four hours should elapse between meals.

Resting times for the skipper are not easy, since they have to make two guards at night to check how the situation is going.

In addition to not having breaks in the middle of the day, he must work when others are resting or sleeping, which causes a common mismatch between the skipper and the crew.
